Religion by Region

The Polis Center has been involved in a number of projects that study the relation of space to religion. One of its signature projects, Religion by Region, explores how religion shapes and is being shaped by regional culture in America. It extends the data and capabilities of the Digital Atlas of American Religion’s interactive mapping tools to support the research needs of a specific set of religion scholars who study religion in the US within a regional context. The results are co-published in a nine-volume series.

Religion by Region is a project of the Leonard E. Greenberg Center for the Study of Religion in Public Life at Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut.

The Religion by Region book series is available for purchase through Alta Mira press.
